Panoramic Scotland
Multi-frame panoramas stitched from the drone. They print very large without losing anything, which is why they are the ones that end up on walls.
The photographs
The Forth bridges and Stirling, stitched wide.

The Queensferry Crossing and the Forth Road Bridge
The Queensferry Crossing, opened in 2017, with the Forth Road Bridge of 1964 beside it, stitched together from several frames. At 2.7 kilometres the Queensferry Crossing is the longest three-tower cable-stayed bridge in the world.
The Forth Bridge
The Forth Bridge, opened in 1890 and a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2015, striding out across the firth from North Queensferry. Behind it the two road bridges complete the set: three bridges from three centuries.
The Forth bridges at sunset
The rail bridge's cantilevers and the Queensferry Crossing's cables in silhouette, from the shore at low tide. More than a century apart, at this distance the two bridges line up into one long shape across the firth.
Stirling Castle and the city
Stirling in one sweep: the castle on its crag in the middle, the city spreading out on both sides and the green fields of the Forth valley beyond. Stitched from several frames, it keeps its detail at a very large print size.
New photographs are being added to this gallery. Have a look at the others in the meantime.
About the place
Wide enough for a wall.
Some places do not fit in a single frame. The Forth bridges cross miles of water, and Stirling spreads out on both sides of its castle rock. For these the drone takes a run of overlapping frames that are stitched into one very large photograph.
Why a panorama prints so large
A stitched panorama carries far more detail than a single photograph, because it is made from several full frames side by side. That is what lets it go large, over a sofa, along a hotel corridor or behind a reception desk, and still stay sharp when you walk up to it.
The Forth Bridge
The Forth Bridge opened in 1890, designed by Sir John Fowler and Sir Benjamin Baker. It is about 2.5 kilometres long, it was the world's longest cantilever bridge when it opened, and in 2015 it became a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Its red paint gave the language a phrase for a job that never ends.
The Forth Road Bridge and the Queensferry Crossing
The Forth Road Bridge, a suspension bridge, opened in 1964. Since 2017 it has carried buses, cyclists and people on foot, while cars use the Queensferry Crossing alongside it. At 2.7 kilometres the Queensferry Crossing is the longest three-tower cable-stayed bridge in the world. Three bridges, one from each of the last three centuries, cross the firth within a mile of each other.
South and North Queensferry
The two towns at either end take their name from the ferry that Queen Margaret set up in the eleventh century to carry pilgrims across the Forth. The shore at South Queensferry and the pier at North Queensferry are the classic places to see all three bridges from the ground.
Stirling, end to end
The Stirling panorama takes in the castle on its crag with the city on both sides. There is much more of Stirling in Stirling and the Monuments.
Panoramic prints and commissions
Panoramas suit big walls: homes, offices, hotels and restaurants. Tell me the space and I will say how large the file will go. The same technique works for estates, developments and construction sites, where one wide frame shows the whole site at once.
Questions people ask
How large can a panoramic print be?
Larger than a single photograph, because a stitched panorama carries far more detail. Tell me the wall and I will tell you what the file will stand.
Which bridges cross the Firth of Forth at Queensferry?
Three: the Forth Bridge (rail, 1890), the Forth Road Bridge (1964) and the Queensferry Crossing (2017).
Can you shoot a panorama of my building or estate?
Yes. See property drone photography or use the form below.
