Panoramic of Stirling with the castle on its crag

Stirling & Stirlingshire

A drone photographer who actually lives here.

Based in Bannockburn, ten minutes from the castle and the Wallace Monument. Search for a drone photographer in Stirling and you mostly find booking agencies. I am the person who turns up.

Local knowledge is most of the job.

Knowing that the castle takes the light from the west in the evening, that the Wallace Monument is best from the north in winter, and where you can and cannot fly around the town, saves a wasted morning.

I cover the whole of Scotland, but Stirling, Bannockburn, Falkirk, Callander, Doune and the Trossachs are all inside half an hour.

A recent one, up the road: Blairmains Farm & Coffee Shop at Blairlogie, the farm shop under the Ochil escarpment. The aerial is the photograph their website leads with, and there is fourteen seconds of the flight below.

  • Stirling, Bannockburn, Falkirk and Larbert
  • Doune, Callander and the Trossachs
  • Bridge of Allan, Dunblane and Alloa
  • Blairlogie, Menstrie and the Ochils
  • The Kelpies and the Helix
  • Loch Lomond and the national park
  • Anywhere else in Scotland, at a travel rate

Recent work

Blairmains Farm, Blairlogie.

A farm shop and coffee stop at the foot of the Ochils, six miles from Bannockburn. The brief was the setting: the steading, the solar field, the escarpment behind it and the flat carse in front, in one move. The still from the same flight is the photograph their website opens with.

This is the whole clip, uncut and ungraded. Fourteen seconds is usually enough to show a business where it sits, and it is the sort of thing that works on a website, on Facebook and on a screen in the shop.
